This work intends to be a meditation, based on philosophical elements of our culture, about the fundamental rights assured by contemporary democratic constitutions and its exegesis. In that direction, starts from of the concept of the Law itself, taken as a normative order, which is based upon the idea that liberty shall be fulfilled by it. Then, the hermeneutics as an ontological vector is concerned, as a means of Law' explanation, at its most sublime conception, the liberty, with the final purpose to set the value of the fundamental rights as de cornerstone inside de juridical- political structure of a society
